November is election month and we’re about to see if Texas will indeed turn blue again thanks to all our candidates’ & volunteers’ hard work. With this historic turnout we’re seeing, we’re hopeful. But, rest assured, we’re not taking our foot off the gas pedal. We are out here still working to make this a reality. So come closer, move in closer, check out our calendar of events, gather with us and get involved. When we come together and work together, there’s nothing we can’t do!
We’ve got our monthly First Fridays Happy Hour, Breakfast Club, Game Night & Book Club on offer this month and they are great places to plug in and get to know your fellow Dems better. We’ve got election day coming up November 3rd & an election night watch party for after those polls close. Election Day Voting — Midterm Election
When: Tues, November 3rd, 7am-7pm.
Where: In Denton County, you can ONLY vote in your precinct’s specific voting location. You can look that up here: www.votedenton.gov Do a Voter Lookup, enter your name & birthdate, and it will give you your precinct number, the one place your precinct can vote on election day, and your sample ballot that you can print out and take with you into the voting booth.
In any election here in Denton County, if you show up at the wrong location on Election Day, you will be turned away. Election workers will try to help you find the correct location per your precinct. If you insist on voting at the wrong location, the election workers may give you a provisional ballot. However, your vote on that provisional ballot will not count. So on election day, be sure to vote in your precinct’s specific polling location.
Go to www.votedenton.gov to check your registration status, see your sample ballot, and confirm your polling locations and hours.

FMAD Election Night Watch Party
When: Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Where: Enzo’s NY Pizzeria, 900 Parker Square, #900, Flower Mound, TX.

FMAD Chili Cook-Off November Club Meeting

What: Join us for our November club meeting/Chili Cookoff! At this month’s meeting we’ll either be celebrating our historic wins in the midterms or we’ll be self-soothing communally with some good old fashioned chili. Our first annual Chili Cookoff will be a great opportunity to socialize, enjoy each other’s company, and thank our candidates for running & our volunteers for all their hard work this election season. What: Join us immediately following our club breakfast to help Keep Flower Mound Beautiful by picking up trash at our Adopt-a-Spot. We will have everything you need (gloves, trash bags, trash pickup grabbers). It doesn’t take long, and many hands make light work.
