January Events

Happy new year!  It may be cold outside but the Democratic Party is running hot to register and engage voters in advance of the primaries.  Republicans are already preaching to look out for voter fraud so to kick things off this month’s meeting is about how elections are run in Denton County.  We’re following this up with a candidate forum on 2/4.  Details on these events can be found below.

FMAD Monthly Club Meeting

When: Wednesday, January 17th, 6:30 – 8:00 pm 

Where: Landmark Grill, 1297 Justin Road. #310, Lewisville, TX 75077

What: Come gather with your fellow Democrats, eat, drink, and become better informed. Social time at 6:30. Meeting starts at 7:00. Topic is how elections work and what is involved with running the primary election. Guest Speaker will be Christie Wood

FMAD Breakfast Club

When: Saturday, January 20th, 9:00 am

Where: First Watch — 2201 Justin Rd Ste. 301, Flower Mound, TX 75028 

What: Come eat breakfast and socialize with your fellow Democrats. Look for a long table of fellow Dems drinking coffee and ordering pancakes.

Candidate Forum 

When: February 4th

Where: Flower Mound (exact location TBD) 

What: Meet local candidates who have filed to run for office in the Democratic primary of March 2024. Hear directly from the candidates where they stand on important issues. Stay tuned for more details like exact time and place. 

Sophisticated Donkeys Book Club 

When: Sunday, February 18th, 4:00 – 6:00 pm

Where: Gabriela & Sofia’s Tex-Mex, 930 Parker Sq, Flower Mound, TX 75028
